Working to your Strengths
I recently took a Kolbe A strengths assessment test. The Kolbe test is different. It does not test your personality or intelligence. It measures your conative skills or the way that you approach tasks. Only 5% of the population is likely to use the same approach as you.
Here’s my Kolbe A Index Strengths MO: 7-4-5-4
Fact Finder. Specify. Gathers and shares information: 7
Follow Thru. Maintain. Arranges and designs: 4
Quick Start. Modify. Deals with risk and uncertainty: 5
Implementator. Restore. Handles space and tangibles: 4
There is no good score. It is not better to be higher or lower on any level. The index measures where you stand on the scale of approaches. I think that it would be a good idea to seek out people with different strengths when building a team; however, you wouldn’t want the approaches to vary too widely. For example: It probably wouldn’t work out well to team me with someone with a Fact Finder of 1.
My results show that I am excellent at making comparisons, documenting information, and defining priorities. I can be counted on to research historical details and become an expert in areas of special interest. The middle scores show that I am good at working with people with different approaches from all across the spectrum.
Review my Kolbe A Index Results if you would like to work with me to see how I naturally take action.

It is absolutely amazing what we leave on the table to offer in life.
Understanding my conative strengths has really helped me hone in on what a can bring to the table of social networking.

I like the Kolbe A Index because it sheds a little perspective that other tests don’t measure: how you approach tasks (your working process).

There’s a growing problem as the Social Networking trend escalates but no one is openly discussing it. There are a large number of people who are making one costly mistake that’s resulting in attention and the right circle of friends being “left in the cold”.
I believe as long as the problem is not Explained by precisely verbalizing it, almost everyone who’s created their account on myspace is in deep darkness because you can’t solve a problem that you can’t define. As a matter of fact, my Rich Schefren, strengths mastery Coach says “verbalizing precisely the problem is half way towards the solution.”
Its a shortcut approach of shedding light on an issue and my hope is that by “sharing my light” you can avoid the one damn common mistake most people are making when creating their profiles on myspace. The big lesson in all of this is how You can capture the essence of anyone on myspace with what I m about to reveal today.
Let me share with you what I’ve observed: “When it comes to networking to your strengths the FIRST KEY to success is your profile – if you have the profile that generates attention to make the friends you want, congratulations, if not, it’s probably because you’ are not networking to your conative strengths.”

Thanks Jerry. The link to your MySpace profile isn’t working. Would you like me to fix that comment link for you?
